Join us at the Gigiishaabawiimin: We Survived Friendship Gathering on September 21–22, where all are welcome and encouraged to attend!
This event will bring together Survivors and families, neighbors and friends, project partners, and any who wish to learn more about the Kaatagoging Survivors journey to find and tell the truth about the St. Mary’s (Kenora) Indian Residential School.
The event will include activities such as sharing journey updates and findings, touring the former school grounds and future memorial site, reviewing archival records and photos, documenting stories and memories, boat tours of our lands and waters, feasting and holding ceremony, and reconnecting over evening entertainment!
